Notice to Members of the Public

I would like to inform members of the public that on Thursday, 23 April 2026 at 11:35am, I will be working in High Street, Barkingside, alongside the London Borough of Redbridge (LBR) Blue Badge Team.

This work focuses on addressing the misuse of Blue Badges, following information received from members of the public that some individuals are using Blue Badges incorrectly in order to park for free.

The purpose of this operation is:

To protect genuine Blue Badge holders

To prevent people from getting into trouble through incorrect use

To educate drivers and improve understanding of the correct use of Blue Badges

To take appropriate action where misuse is identified

This activity is not only about enforcement but also about education and awareness, ensuring the Blue Badge scheme remains fair and accessible for those who genuinely need it.

Similar operations have been carried out in the past and have been very successful, resulting in positive outcomes for the community and improved compliance.

We appreciate the support and information provided by the public and encourage continued cooperation to keep our local areas safe, fair, and accessible for everyone.
